If a player can surrender their 16 against
a 9,10 or Ace, they should do so. Otherwise, against
these up cards they should take a hit. As mentioned,
a hard 16 is the worst possible hand a player can begin
with. There only chance of winning is to hit despite
the odds of success being heavily against them. This
is another example of a position in which the player
must make the best of a bad situation.
