Again, the hard two-card total of 9 represents
a good chance for the player to make money by doubling
their bet.
A player should refrain from doubling against the dealer’s
Pat-up cards. Unless the dealer is showing stiff cards,
the player should double down. If not the player should
take a hit. The exception to this is when the dealer
shows a 2 for it is likely in this case for them to
draw a stronger total.
A player should remember that the drawing of a 10-card
has the highest odds and that whenever the player has
a chance to beat the casinos advantage, they should
make full use of this by increasing their bets.
