Bust
A player “breaks” or goes
“bust” when the value of their cards exceeds
21. In such cases the dealer will take firstly the cards
and then the wager from the table of play.
The dealer can also go bust, but a dealer cannot go
bust before a player, since all the player’s hands
are played out before the dealer’s.
If the dealer goes bust as well as one or more players,
a tie is not deemed a push even though a player may
have gone bust with the same cards as the dealer. If
you go bust, you lose.
