Pair of 7s
Splitting 7s can often result in two
hands of an easily bustable 17. Here the player must
make the best of a bad situation and hope that luck
is on their side.
If the dealer’s card is upwards of 8, the player
would be wise to hit. This is in no way guaranteed to
produce desirable results. However, by simply standing,
there is a much greater likelihood that the player will
lose. As such they must try and improve their position
in what is essentially a bad situation.
