How To Play Blackjack

Peeking

In hole games, if the dealers up-card is a 10, Jack, King Queen or Ace most casinos allow the dealer to “peek”. This means the dealer may carefully check his hole card without any of the players seeing.

If the hole card is a Blackjack then the dealer’s hand is unbeatable and any further play becomes pointless.

In such a case the dealer is required to immediately expose this winning hand and take the losing bets from the table in a counterclockwise direction.

In a game with two or more decks there is always the chance occurrence of a player also having a Blackjack. The hand then becomes a draw (a push) and the player neither wins nor loses the hand.
