Playing decisions
After the placement of a bet and the
receipt of his first two cards a player must reaches
the point where he must draw on his skill and judgement.
The difference between success and failure
depends largely on what choices the player makes at
this point.
After comparing the value of the dealers
up card in relation to their own the player must decide
whether to take “insurance” if offered,
“surrender” if offered, “split”,
“double”, “hit” (and potentially
becoming “bust” as a result) or “stand”.
These choices must be made in the above
order for every hand the player receives. These are
explained further on the next pages.
