Stakes

No more than 20% of a player’s total bankroll should be used at any time. If a player’s total bankroll is £500, then only £100 should be used in any one session.

A player will at one time inevitably lose. They are much less likely to go frantically chasing these losses if they have limited themselves to one fifth of their playing total.

If they experience a particularly bad session, at least they will escape financial and emotional devastation knowing that their remaining funds are always enough to get them back on track.

A playing stake should be fifty times the amount that a player would usually bet. Therefore, if they plan to play £1 games they should approach the table with no more than £50.
