Table limits
The range of minimum and maximum bets
can vary greatly from casino to casino and the player
can usually find details of the actual limits posted
on the table.
Unfortunately for most tourist gamblers who play merely
for fun, the trend seems to be shifting towards $25
minimums, particularly in the newer Canadian casinos.
One-dollar minimum tables are becoming something of
a rarity.
Many casinos now require a player who holds more than
one spot to bet at least twice the table minimum.
In smaller casinos such as those found in the Caribbean,
the Bahamas, cruise ships or charity games, the range
between minimum and maximum bets is generally much larger
than casinos in Las Vegas.
Online blackjack games usually offer relatively low
minimum bets, with often as little as £1 or $1
requiring to be staked. The maximum varies much more
than the minimum, with table maximums normally ranging
from 200 to 1000 chips per hand, regardless of the currency.
